How the estimate works.

New conversations per day × minutes of handling × working days ÷ 60 gives your team’s monthly hours. Divide daily hours by the number of people for an equal share per person.

The starting example is 50 conversations, four minutes each, 22 working days and two people. That is about 73.3 team hours a month and 1.7 hours per person each working day.

Count active handling time across a conversation, including follow-up replies. A chat with ten messages is still one conversation. Include reopened chats in your sample if they create more work.

Use it to plan your next change.

Start with a sample of real conversations. Look for repeated questions, missing information and hand-overs that make customers repeat themselves.

Try a clearer reply or a better hand-over, then measure again. This calculator estimates workload; it does not predict InsideDM savings, staffing needs or sales.

The calculation and CSV download run in your browser. There’s no signup or form submission.
